Global Sports Communication
One of the most important achievements of ICEARS since its creation in April 2004, is the signing of a memorandum of agreement between ICEARS and Global Sports Communication for an initial period of 5 years (2004-2009). Global Sports Communications is the most important athlete agency with extensive experience in the management of world class athletes including the greatest number of athletes of East African origin. The partnership with Global resulted in a laboratory being created at the Global Training Camp at Kaptagat, Eldoret, Kenya. The initial task of this laboratory was to document the preparation of elite Kenyan runners in the build-up to the Athens Olympic Games. Results from these studies have already begun to emerge (see Publications) and are being used to inform the preparation of the elite Kenyan athletes. Other studies are currently being commissioned in discussion with managers and coaches at Global Sports Communication. |
